Dance

Students will learn fundamental movements and techniques used in ballet and modern dance styles.  Students will learn key vocabulary and terminology used in the dance studio for ballet and modern dance.  Students will be challenged physically, building endurance and stamina as they learn stretches and perform exercises to strengthen their core.  Some of the most common dance injuries will be discussed, as well as ways to prevent them.  Dancers will perform at the showcase demonstrating basic moves and choreographed pieces from ballet, modern, and other styles.
